Is it appropriate for a younger audience?
Because it doesn't really look to bad for a red band trailer. My nephew wants to go see it. He's 12 and I wanna make sure it's not that rude.

shareWhat do you find to be "rude"?
shareWell that's what I'm asking. In the red band, there's only really just language which is fine but I just wanna know if it's like sexual like other R rated movies these days.
shareThey go to a strip club and stay there for a while, it's not gratuitous But there are naked ladies. It's mostly language, even the violence is pretty tame.
shareSo the constant profanity is ok, but him seeing boobs isn't.
shareStrip club is a base is operations so it figures more than once.
Violence hits Matrix level in places-shootings. Killings. Obviously not as much since this is a comedy.
Jokes about drugs. Drugs used onscreen
Jokes about cutting off penises. Killer wears a necklace of severed penises.
Language.
guy is half swallowed by a snake
This isn't Wall Street-this is Hell. We have a little something called integrity-Crowley
And you just articulated why this is not for 12 year olds.
shareHe will be exposed to a blackpussy.
shareIt depends on the boy. I would have been fine a twelve seeing it. There are curse words, adult situations, nudity, drug use, blood, and violence. I was aware of it, but it was all very cartoonishly surreal. I doubt he would be traumatized, but he might be exposed to concepts you don't want him to be exposed to yet. Things like strip clubs, gang violence, drug use, drug dealing, torture, murder, and kitty porn. You know the dirty kind of kitty porn with super cute adorable kitten overload that is too extreme for most movies.
@OP- No.
"Time is the fire in which we burn."
Thanks for the information guys. I will think about it
shareI would always err on the side of NOT taking a child to an adult film, even if they can "handle" it.
shareThat is fairly sound advice. Although the ratings system sometimes has given R ratings to things that should be PG13. Mostly it is the other way around with PG13 ratings to things that should have been R, but there was a film about two lesbians some years back with no nudity, curse words, or gore, and it got an R. I guess lesbians are too shocking to 13 year olds.
shareAbsolutely not. It's filled with drugs, guns and bad language.
shareNO it is not
