Beautiful and powerful ending

Very heartbreaking and touching!

I agree. It made me think that that's how she's heard herself singing all along. I had a tear in my eye as it went down!

Loved the film but didn't like her at all. I thought she was an egotistical, self absorbed narcissist. Brilliantly played by Meryl though.

When she got the NY Post out of the bin, read it, dazedly stumbled back into the hotel and collapsed it was heartwrenching .

It was indeed heart-wrenching, but I thought she would collapse on the street, which is what the camera appears to be setting us up for when it becomes airborne. I also found the deathbed sequence very effective. If only the rest of the film could have been that good.

"They can say I can't sing, but they can't say that I never sang."

Good moment.

I think so, too. A little too long, maybe. But touching and emotional, anyway.
