Streep is DeMille recipient!

This is another cinematic achievement for the unusually-talented Meryl Streep.

I first saw Streep in A Cry in the Dark and became an instant fan. Since them, I've enjoyed her work in Manhattan, The Deer Hunter, The Devil Wears Prada, Kramer vs. Kramer, and Lions for Lambs.

Now, Streep is the honoured winner of this upcoming Golden Globe's Cecil B. DeMille award. I will watch the Golden Globes (with Annabelle and Anne Hathaway) just to appreciate how this female movie star has given us something truly unique --- female intelligence.

In Florence Foster Jenkins, Streep has managed to capture the human drama of a woman-of-conviction who challenges tradition and society conceptions to offer the world performances meant for the glee of the masses.

I can't wait to see Streep's acceptance speech for the DeMille award on TV.

Ironically, Florence Foster Jenkins is a celebrity-friendly 'mirror-portrait' of the sociological contributions of Streep --- the way she clearly delighted the masses.
