The sparkle is gone

I don't know why, but I feel the second season if off to a boring start... the sparkle is gone.

reply

I found it even better than season 1 and it got me immediately.

I agree. Watching S2E1 now and it's just like meh. And I Loved S1! Oh well.

I suppose only time will tell for you...

...but personally, I loved the first episode of series 2! Loved the introductions of new characters, intrigued by new plots, happy to see old faces and glad that previous plots are still to be resolved. 😊

I have to admit that it was far from boring for me...in fact, I was actually worried that they were trying to do too much in one episode! 😮

Loved episode 1 of season 2. Will watch it again when I get the chance. :)

Personally, I thought that it was a very exciting first episode. There were so many things going on and the setting has expanded from a domestic setting to a more dynamic, global one. The stakes are higher and there are even more characters that form the complex web of the premise. I was so happy to see the familiar characters from the first series as well, and am curious to see what paths they will be taking. I'll be viewing it again before the next episode, just to see if I had missed anything. Can't wait for episode 2!

Amen to all you have said. A brilliant opening to Season 2.

Love especially the fact that release of the code defied expectations! (both ours and Niska's). Love that these writers continue to take the road less traveled! Our sympathies for the awakening synths have been tapped into with the unnecessary destruction of Radiator. There is so much to take in, so much to entice our curiosity, so much that takes this out of the ordinary. Niska’s pending trial will raise so many interesting questions.

Loving Maxie … how smart to make him the one to introduce the new synths to Leo rather than the other way around. Loved his kind and understanding approach to Hester about Trust, and the wisdom of his answer about Emotions.

There is so much to look forward to ... but, warning, this is not standard tv fare, so there will be those who simply cannot or do not want to deal with complex issues and ideas.

I have to admit that my interest was on the wane in the first episode of season 2. Just didn't seem very interesting and was all over the place with a quick attempt to expand the synth universe. Not sure I'll stick with it

reply

It has lost its spark
Now they are concentrating on synthetics that can hold a relationship.

The way most shows has gay characters, i knew one of the synthetics was going to be gay.
So i was bored with those scenes. It was predictable because it's been done to death.

William hurt is gone.

That awful couple is getting counseling.
They are clearly unhappy i think need to be separated for six months.

The "che guevera" of humans is creating a revolution, but who knows how that will end.
I will continue watching. I hope it gets more interesting.

Yeah, S2 is OK. Hopefully, it gets better. If not renewed, then give us a series ending!
