shareTo be fair a synth being a detective is abit far fetched, the police not only look up your entire life they also look into siblings, parents, partners, partners parents. A synth would have no history and no family so it's extremely unlikely to pass those screenings and why would a synth in hiding risk being discovered applying for a job that does such an indepth background check? It's illogical.
