The police lady who I thought was human all of this time goes to her room and is actually a robot. She reaches into her throat and pulls out a plastic bag of "stuff" and throws it away.
What in the world was that? Does it explain it later, what the stuff was?
BTW I just saw the episode yesterday where this police synth makes a very convincing romantic move on her police partner (can't remember his name didn't feel like stopping this post to look it up). She shows him afterwards what she is and he freaks out. She says she has to go away. I suppose I'll find out in the next couple of episodes where she is going.
I'm learning as I go by watching this but it is amazing how realistic their feelings seem to be. She actually seemed to have feelings for this guy.
If they are that realistic it would be hard to view them as just machines and non-people. At least not the ones who have consciousness. He kind of rejected her, I'm interested to see going forward if they can experience "broken hearts" like a human can.
I'm the one who started the OP on the old imdb board and this already had received responses while over there that it was just her food/drink that she took in only to keep up the appearance of being human. Interesting, now that she and her police boyfriend are kind of in a relationship and he knows all about her there was a scene where they sat down and were eating a meal together. I wonder why eating food when he knows she's a synth and that she doesn't need food. She can just sit there while he is eating and talk with him while not actually eating herself. Odd that she is still going to all of that trouble when he knows her secret.
Yet again she does it. Now her bag has broken and it has caused some possible damage inside of her and Pete had to rush her to the car to turn her off. Why does she keep eating and drinking? The only "appearances" she'd have to keep up would be someone she is with all of the time, who may notice her never eating, well, that person knows she's a synth and doesn't need food or drink.
