Woz is very protective of both Harlee and her daughter.
Her daughter seems to love him like family and vice versa.
He said Harlee is the only one he trusts.

I hope they do some type of flashback episode explaining their relationship. My guess would be maybe Harlee's husband died on the job, maybe while partnered with Woz. Some type of scandal involved to build their bond even stronger.
I wondered this too and I realize she mentioned something about loving each other like family but I kinda felt that was just a partner thing.... and he did say on the phone to harlee "tell Christina I love her"
so it was a bit weird to me, my first thought was his daughter.... or granddaughter and harlee is his daughter but I think you could be on to something too

I think it's a valid question. They are all on the crew together but their bond surpasses that. Knowing this is tv, there's got to be a reason.

I thought this too but the past episode she said she HAD a daughter already when she was first getting interviewed by him so Idk how it would be possible
He was the one interrogating her on the matter of her ex...
He lurked out of her, that she framed him in order to keep him away from her/their daughter.
He knows her tell is to put her hair left hand behind left ear, which she did when she lied about Miguel.
Telling her that she left a paper trail.
Implying that she needs to trust him.
Therefore one might conclude that he helped her, and she began working with him.
I re-watched the 2nd episode where Woz was reviewing an interview when Harlee was a patrol officer and she shot someone. I have a feeling that's where their bond started. I believe the man she shot was her daughters father. It's television and they lay the bread crumb pretty early. His watching that DVD tells me its got to do with their relationship/friendship.
