who else wants to watch because of James?

Am I the only one who only wants to watch the movie because James maslow is the main character?
Like, I have no idea what the movie is about, but because James is in it I can't wait till the movie comes out.

I can't hardly wait to see these movies and thrilled that the whole series is finally on film. I grew up reading V.C. Andrews and still have several of the other series she wrote including the only single novel "My Sweet Audrina". I still have them and now my own daughter is starting to read them

I did some digging and "Garden of Shadows" will be made. Right now unsure if it will be a mini-series due to so much content and how many years it spans. Also "My Sweet Audrina" is going to made into a movie and was confirmed but no further details found yet but I am still digging around.

oh really? The original 'Flowers in the Attic' book has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, it is that notoriously famous, and the vast majority of the people who have watched the first 2 movies are fans of the book.
And I guarantee you, most fans of the book have no idea who James Maslow is...but they will eventually once this movie comes out of course.

there are 5 books in the series and the first 2 books are already adapted into movies 'Flowers in the Attic' and 'Petals in the Wind' in 2014 (not the 1987 movie), there's also a third movie based on the third book that they'll be releasing before this one called 'If there be Thorns'. I definitely recommend you watch these 3 movies first to familiarize yourself with the story...otherwise if you just watch this 4th movie, you might get confused with the story.
And if you want to watch some eye candy, the actors who played the main male character 'Christopher' in the first 2 movies are real hotties, personally I find them even hotter than James Maslow =P

I had never heard of James Maslow, I had to look him up here on IMDB then saw he was one of the guys from Big Time Rush, I've seen that with my kids. But everyone I know has read the book series, V.C. Andrews was who everyone read in the 80s and 90s, ask your mom she probably read them. Seriously our library in a very small Ohio town would get 5 or more copies in of each book, and they were constantly checked out. I was in junior high I bought them all, so did many of my friends. We bought them in paper back and they were read so much that the covers fell off!

I wanna watch because of James. I can't read the book because then all I'll image is seeing James doing all the parts. I think I'll just wait until the movie comes out. I'm here to see James in it as well and I totally want to see him in Wild For The Night as well!!!! JAMES MASLOW IS A FREAKING HOTTIE!!!!

Ikr James looks all hot betraying his character!

James will definitely pull it off. Just because he is a good person, and has a good personality. Doesn't mean he can't pull it off. We all have our dark sides.

reply

No matter what role James does, he will always be known as a sweet loyal guy who does anything for his fans. Just because he's playing a bad boy type of role, doesn't mean it will change my views on him. I'll love him no matter what kind of role he does. Love him!

You Maslow fan girls are so disrespectful and really are doing James Maslow a disservice, the more you diss book fans and obsessively talk ONLY of James Maslow like he's a unicorn the more you turn people away from him.

These books have been around for 30years, are timeless, sold over 40million copies worldwide, has generations of fans, and continues to sell.

James Maslow has only been around for five years and isn't a household name, the only people who know about him are under 17, he's an ex- boy band member who did dancing with the stars last year (He's no Justin Timberlake), he's a pretty face with a hot body who can somewhat sing, but that can only last so long, in 30 years he'll be forgotten.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but he's trying to branch out from the boyband role of the show he was on. I did read the books and everything and I'm always excited when a book is made into a movie. I'm just saying that as a fan of his, it's nice to see him try different roles then to be always termed as a boyband member. So please don't call me disrespectful because I hate being called that. I'm watching because he's in it, but there's also other stars in that movie that I've heard of before. Plus I'm a fan of the books. So please once again don't think of me as that.

reply

So kid, here's what...

If you're a fan of the BOOKS, say so! You can easily say that you like this boy band guy who plays Bart and are looking forward to seeing what he will do with this role.

For instance, I LOVE Jason Lewis, when I heard he was cast as Chris, I was thrilled! I can see it already, hear his voice... etc, I totally get where you're coming from with your thoughts... BUT...

This is a board for fans of the series, not for an actor. Go to his message board to talk about him being in this, the way you did, and I'm quite sure all those who love him over there will agree, and you'll find no hostility. Everything in it's place, is my point.

People here are mostly hard core fans of the novels, and our discussions are generally about what the adaptations to film will be like, as compared to the books, so you're bound to get some negative comments.

Avoiding those is simple. Do the above.

Okay first off I'm not a kid. Secondly I'm a huge fan of the books and I just saw this thread of James and was excited to post something to it. That one person who was writing back mean stuff was trying to start something. My mom read the books and in turn I read them. But it was a long time ago that I read them. I saw the first two films and can't wait for the third and fourth films. I really wish they were making the fifth book a movie but well see what happens if and when that comes. I'm actually not only watching for just James. I really want to see it. I just got excited that someone posted about James. He was always stuck being termed "a boyband member " and it would be nice to see him boarden his horizons. So sorry if I came off as, well I don't have a good word for it at the moment, but I just got overexcited. That person didn't have to be that mean.
