1 star out of 5 (could've been 0). Here's why:
In 1987, the book FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC was adapted into film. It was about 4 siblings forced to live in isolation by their grandmother, a religious fanatic. Let's say that, if my grandma did that to me, it would be more entertaining than watching the movie. It was remade for TV in 2014. It was less bad thanks to the performances and a better pacing. Also, it didn't try to hide the incestous relationship between CATHY & CHRIS (the older ones). No, I'm not a pervert. It has to do with staying true to the novel. Not to mention that's it the hook of the story, the reason why people wanted to read it and the thing people remember the most. PETALS ON THE WIND, the 1st sequel, was as bad as the 1987 movie. And then, something amazing happened: IF THERE BE THORNS, the 2nd sequel, "pulled a FAST 5." That means that it was actually good. Who knew? (http://vits-ingthemovies.blogspot.cl/2015/08/comments-round-up-july-2015.html) Now, in this 3rd and final sequel, BART (CATHY & CHRIS' son) has invited his parents, his brother JORY and his adopted sister CINDY to stay at his home: The mansion where CATHY & CHRIS grew up in. He inherited a fortune, so he payed to rebuilt it. But, since he was brain-washed as a kid by his grandmother, he's up to no good.
Each installment skips several years. This one takes place 13 years after the previous one. The kids are all grown up, but CATHY & CHRIS haven't aged a day. Couldn't the actors dye a couple of hairs gray? When CATHY & CHRIS arrive at the mansion, they greet their son and then they go to have sex in their mother's old bed (to insult her memory). I thought they had forgiven her after she saved them from the fire. They don't lock the door, even though their son is very near and the others will arrive in any minute.
