This should be a TV series
I think this could do really well as a TV series. You'd get more character development and back stories.
Anyone else agree?

One of my coworkers mentioned this earlier at my job. I think it could work. They said as the season progresses there could be conflicts created in every episode leading up to plots to kill who in the purge in the season finale.
sharehow about a series of books, novels? I would pay to read those I am fascinated by the purge idea.
shareThat's not bad idea. Every season finale is a Purge Night, and characters who were at each others throats for one reason or another hunt each other down, or from the devil's point of view, it could show an obsession culminating into a violent climax in the season finale: even go so far as to have a downbeat end to a season every now and then, depicting a successful wrongful murder or rape.
shareWell The Purge only last 8 hours so why not make 8 episodes in every season while the purge is going on?
shareDepending on how it was done, I would probably watch a Purge TV series.
shareGrea&t idea ! 24H style !
shareDisagree.
The whole point of a Purge is that it's finite (12 hours in movie/character time) meaning there's a sense of urgency and a natural tension as to whether the characters will survive it - that is far better suited to a fast paced 90-120 minute feature than a 10-12 hour show.
Drop your weapons! You're surrounded by armed bastards!!!!
Good idea.
shareIF they did one taking place in real time 12 hours for the 12 hours of Purge, yeah that would be a pretty cool idea
Death to mainstream cinema!
It is already being debated.

I like the idea if it's between 8-12 episodes. They can explore more the universe created.
