Why did Hector's mum close his eyes when rebecca was running?

The title does not really give away any spoilers I hope. The relationship between hector and his mother was way over top in the last episode.

She probably thought Hector wouldn't be able to handle the conflict and drama and wanted to protect him ... or she didn't want him staring at Rebecca's legs as she ran. To be honest, the less I think about Hector and his mom, the better. 

Too many boobs bouncing around; she didn't want her baby to have bad thoughts. Hasn't their relationship always been kind of ridiculous and gross?

Yes, the bouncing breasts. She's sexually threatened like a lover.

Their relationship is meant as a dark Oedipal joke.
