I know what happened to Audrey.
Rewatch episode 1, there is a clue, then rewatch episode 16, there is a clue. Let's see if you amateur detectives can figure it out. One last thing, this clue is why Audrey woke up.

shareher being in a coma has been popular for some time now. But why would she suddenly be put a mirror on her face when she was dancing?
It feels more like she's at a mental institute.
Either of the two seems like a good ending for her.
She is in a mental institution and there is a clue in both episode 1 and episode 16 that clearly clue us in on it.
shareNice, What is it?
shareOk. When Audrey is dancing one man screams, "Barney that's my wife". After she hears that she wakes up. Something jogs her memory. It seems to be the name Barney. In episode 1 Ruth Davenport's neighbor tells the police that Barney is the building manager and he can open Ruth's apartment, but "Barney" is in the hospital, but not the regular kind of hospital. Barney must be in a mental hospital. Maybe Audrey is in the same one. Is it a coincidence? I think not.
shareWell spotted. I remember the sequence but not the names. I don't think it's a coincidence either.
shareI watched episode one again last night and it all came to me. I was like WTF, that is incredible.
sharethere must be all sorts of tiny nods and references. Even visual ones as well as audible. When I re-watch it next time, I'm going to focus on the visual ones.

That's actually what I thought.

"He's dead."
