Some things about Andy and the last two episodes

Back in the White Lodge, Andy sat down with the Fireman and had a vision. There are some things about what was shown there that got more confusing tonight.

1) The shaking-camera scene with Andy and Lucy. This scene does not actually play out, except in Andy's flashback in Part 17. My guess is that it was a warning, and Andy made the right steps to prevent it from happening. Maybe it was some kind of reverse psychology to get Lucy involved more directly. The way it lingers makes it seem like an important scene, though, and I feel like something's missing.

2) Three zoom-ins on an electricity pole marked '6'. That's a bit on the nose, don't you think? It's like they're making fun of people trying to make sense of this stuff.

3) This one has been bugging me the most. It's that one portentous shot of a woman running outside a house. We had a glimpse of this scene tonight, but it didn't even figure into the plot at all. Another non-sequitur? Perhaps foreshadowing for S4?

Edit: Come to think, we've never found out what happened with Andy's missing informer...

1) It hasn't happened yet. If there is a season 4 that scene will probably be in it. It's probably already been filmed but held back.

2) We've seen the pole several times already but just didn't know it's true location.

3) That was the scene at the school before it is announced that Laura Palmer had been found dead.

Wasn't the pole always located in the trailer park?

reply

Probably you were meant to think that at first but we see it again when the little boy gets killed by Richard.

Perhaps the pole moves around places.

reply

if I ever see a pole moving locations.... I'll run like hell from there XD

reply

If the pole moved - it is already too late!

what year is this?

reply

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

lol

I say bring it. If that pole tries to cross me, it'll have made a powerful enemy that day.

reply

ahah classic.

I rewatched the finale - the pole is outside "Carrie's" house. Apologies are in order in case any of my previous statements might have affronted said electricity post, or its people, in any way. I still think making a '666' out of it was on the nose.

On another hand, that this vision appeared to Andy, but was understood by Cooper / "Richard" makes me think "the dream" is self-reflecting. The story will propel itself, and that is all there is to it. The dream shows to itself the things that it shows to its actors. It only matters if it's shown at all or not, since we see the same things it does.
