Body Count (contains spoilers obviously)

Ruth's head appeared to be shot in the eye, and then Phyllis was also shot in the eye by Cooper's doppleganger. I didn't catch any connection with Nadine but I did connect those two murders.
This made me wonder if maybe Ruth had been killed by Cooper instead of by Phyllis and her lover George, like maybe they hired Cooper to kill her? The way the dead bodies were displayed seems kind of beyond a simple 'murder your husband's lover and frame him for it', it was so grotesque that it seems more like Cooper/Bob's style. Plus why would Phyllis and George kill that random John Doe?
So maybe Phyllis hired Cooper to do it and then he killed her in the same way (a shot in the eye) after getting paid. Or else Phyllis killed Ruth and then Cooper killed Phyllis in the same way, for some unknown reason.
