Peaks Performance

Believe it or not, it is happening again. The quarter-century-delayed third season of TWIN PEAKS makes its debut on Showtime on 21 May, something I never thought I'd ever see. In the pervasive remake-obsessed movie climate of the last several years, I figured it was inevitable that someone would come along at some point and do a new version of it. Few properties of such standing have managed to long evade the indignity of a high-profile, low-quality rehash. But a genuine, new season featuring the original cast and creators? My coffee-cup runneth over.

Some thoughts on the imminent return of TWIN PEAKS:

Amen to that and pass the pie.

AMEN and Glory Hallelujah, jriddle! I never thought it would happen, but it did. I even added Showtime to my cable package just to watch TP.

That's a great review, and I love the cartoon. I actually watched one episode of the Walking Dead, and was bored stiff. Never watched it again. 80% of TV is crap, but the other 20% can be really good, like TP, Fargo, Legion and Better Call Saul.

I will disagree with you on one small point: I actually do not want to see any previews. Sometimes they show too much, and spoil part of the show. BTW I'm listening to the soundtrack as I type. Ahhhhhhh.............😎

Oh yeah, and pass that steaming black coffee too!

After I wrote that, Youtube began running bumpers for TWIN PEAKS that sort of traced the lineage of some of the top-shelf shows of the present back to it. I'm putting up some more PEAKS-related material from the original run in the days leading up to season 3.
