Just to be sure on this, when you americans talk about a "2 hours premiere", you're talking about 2x45 minutes plus 30 minutes worth of commercials, right?

reply

Nope. Showtime is a premium channel, so it's commercial-free. I wouldn't be surprised if they add or remove 5 minutes from the end, though.

lol I was wondering the same thing I can remember Fargo's two-hour finale that was actually an hour and a half

reply

what did you hear about a 2 hour premiere ,link please?

I heard about the date the same time as you

reply

I don't know how to make it clickable...

But its all over the internet because they just announced the info from the Television Critics Association with Showtime president David Nevins

Still no trailer, promo photos, or anything? I guess they had a presentation today, but didn't premiere anything except the date. The first season is airing on Showtime this Saturday, so it'd be almost inconceivable if they didn't air a promo between episodes saying that "this show is coming", etc.

reply

Those waiting for a trailer, meanwhile, should plan on waiting. Maybe forever. Nevins indicated that a themed series of teasers (a la American Horror Story) could unspool prior to its May premiere

Come on, they can't be too cutesy and mysterious in just basic promotion. They have to show some footage.

reply

I personally don't want to know anything in advance ,it ruins the fun for me.

The only reason I watch a movie or a tv show is based on the people behind and in front of the camera.

reply

Does anyone know when it's on in the UK?

Sky Atlantic have got the broadcast rights in the UK. Sometimes they are very good at airing shows near to the US date, sometimes less so. Twin Peaks revival having a lot of media buzz about it should help, in this case.

reply

Simulcast at 2am morning of the 22nd and replayed Tuesday at 9pm. No doubt they're going to butcher it with adverts.

reply

Showtime CEO David Nevins said that the "series will have a global launch around the world".

So therefore it will be broadcast on May 21 in the UK as in the US.

reply

apparently next 2 episodes will be available for showtime subscribers right away after premiere. that means 4 hours of twin peaks on day 1.
