First time that I have ever watched a film from Terrence Malick too.

...Not that that's necessarily a bad thing -- in light of said director's last few... erhm, 'questionable' offerings.
In other words, he has part ownership of the film.
shareHaving watched the film now, it looked like Malick more than just 'owned' part of the film. It seemed a lot like he may have been standing behind the glove-puppet director as he filmed it, with Malick's puppeteering hand up his clacker!
