What a stinker.

Wow, how bad can a made for TV Christmas movie be. Pretty bad in this case. I had wondered if others felt the same way, and you can see from the other comments it's pretty much universal.
This is some of the worst editing, camera work, directing, pacing, etc. I have ever seen in a movie that otherwise had pretty lavish sets.
There are character introductions with no explanation whatsoever. There are errors in dialogue, and abrupt camera cuts that leave the viewer trying to figure what is going on. It took me 3 hours to watch a 2 hour movie, because I kept rewinding to see if I had missed something. I hadn't. And if the production is bad, at least the poor acting fits right in. This is a stinker that could have been really good given it's relatively expensive budget.

Mediocre Marx Brothers is better than no Marx Brothers!

I see several very positive reviews. Anyone that liked this movie wasn't paying attention. I am reminded of the catch phrase of the title character in "The Critic". "It Stinks!".

Just look at the positive comments and reviews. If you are one of the actors or production crew, you loved this movie.
I forced myself to sit through 23 minutes of this catastrophe. Withstanding pain is a character building experience.

Too much, too soon, too long, too strong, too many,
