Green Room is a really GREEN movie

Someone in post-production yanked the color dial right to puke green and unfortunately this means you will see nary a strong color other than green and red for the entire film, sorta how teal and orange dominates action films of the Michael Bay ilk. For those who find this artistic and striking, I weep for your retina and your taste.

K thanks keep weeping.

Green was obviously a deliberate color palette here, but you also have to take into account the nature of the shooting locations, which definitely added to this. They filmed this about a half hour from where I grew up, and the forests there are extremely green because there's so much rainwater. The only forest landscapes I've seen that rival it in greenness are in Connecticut and Vermont, but the difference is that the forests in the Pacific Northwest aren't nearly as deciduous, so they tend to remain green year-round.
