The dog scenes were unrealistic (Spoilers)

Dogs can't kill a person that quickly (if at all). There's only about 20-30 deaths by dogs per year and usually against small children or the elderly. Usually a fatality caused by a dog is caused by a pack of pit bulls or rottweilers not by a single dog as portrayed in the movie. Usually the death happens AFTER the attack by rabies or blood loss.

Not to mention the attackees were both armed with guns! Even so, it is possible to kill a large dog with your bare hands.

Keep in mind that the dogs in this movie were trained fight dogs, they knew to go for the throat.

That's exactly what happened. Tiger didn't die until after the attack, he bled out while laying on the floor. As he was receiving no medical treatment, it's not hard to believe that he would bleed out relatively quickly. We didn't technically see Sam's death, but there's no reason to believe that she died instantly.

I think you're getting something mixed up. Sam was armed with a shotgun when she was attacked, she even shot and wounded the dog. But Tiger never even held a gun throughout the movie.

Easier said than done. Pit bulls are incredibly powerful dogs. I saw a thread where someone said "Pat should've just kicked the dog off Sam!" A lot of people just can't comprehend the strength that these dogs have, it's unreal. And even if the characters had read that article, there's no way they'd be able to recall it in the situation they were in. If a dog's running at you, the last thing your mind is gonna race to is "Okay, I read a web article on this one time. I can do this!" In fact, Tiger freezing up was actually very realistic.

Fighting dogs are put down if they show aggression against humans. They're too dangerous to the handlers. True fighting dogs aren't trained to attack people.

And pit bulls are no stronger than other dogs. I have a 95 pound pit/Great Dane mix and he is strong as hell but no stronger than a dog of similar size and build. And humans have a huge leverage advantage over dogs due to being bipedal. It's an evolutionary advantage.

They weren't trained fight dogs. They don't train fight dogs in German. They were speaking German to them because they were trained guard dogs. In which case when they're told to bite, they will bite, and animals instinctively know to go for the throat. So why would they bite somewhere else?

The handler calls them fight dogs and even tells the boss he can't send in more than one at a time because they'll fight each other.
