PLEASE...No more Steven Seagal... (Spoilers)

The man hasn't been in a good movie since 'Executive Decision'(and that is only because he dies in the opening 1/3 of the film). Every movie rehashes the same Seagal character (that squinty eyed, low speaking, man of few words who will Aikido you to death) who is becoming so comically unbelievable as a tough guy that it pains me to see these films keep coming out that cast a shadow on his previous "good" films like 'Above the Law', 'Hard to Kill' 'Out For Justice', and 'Under Siege' (actually, that's all of his good starring ventures).

Yea, he did some bullsh!t TV show where he was supposed to be a "real life" sheriffs deputy, horrible horrible horrible.

Second I saw him in the poster I cringed, I wonder who's the poor bastard that put $8 million in for the budget of this.

I watched the trailer for this and it looks to be a very competent film, solid in every department EXCEPT for the introduction of Seagal as the lead. That's really kinda a shame as it looks to be a solid throwback to Deathwish and the likes.

They would have been better with anyone else as the lead, so many actors out there that could have done this or would have jumped at the chance to take the part. This entire thing must have been under Seagal's control from the get go or he would have never landed the part otherwise, even his once devoted fan base is likely very tired of him.

Seagal has very little screen time. Seagal was not the lead (other guy was). They just used Seagal's name!!

Craig Sheffer was the lead actor in "Code of Honor". Minimal screentime for Seagal a la "Against the Dark" & "Sniper: Special Ops".

I like a couple of his earlier direct to video films but agree he should hang it up. Watching him today is a bit liking watching the last few 3 Stooges films when they were elderly and attempting to do the physical comedy. It was a combination of sad seeing once great stars trying to perform when they simply did not have the physical ability and disturbing seeing elderly men brutally assault each other.
