I came to look for opinions about the production, acting, etc. so I could decide if I wanted to watch this movie. So far, these boards are full of religious debate. Could some people please reply with their opinion on the production value of this movie and whether I watch it or not. Please.

If you're anything other than a hardcore Evangelical Christian you'll probably be bored to tears or find ample problems with the movie. The acting, production design and all those things are secondary to the message of the movie. If they like the message they will forgive the other parts or, in some cases, praise them as being amazing because of the all important message.
This applies to just about every "major" Christian movie that has come out in the last 15-20 years or so.
I'm a Christian, but this was boring and cheesy. The message was fine, but the story was unbalanced. If you like cheesy Christian movies, this is fine.

I’m in five years after your original post! Do You Believe is shot very well, and the acting is consistently good. Trying to make a movie with several different stories, and have them all come together in a logical manner, is tough, but the filmmakers pulled it off.

The story with the fireman would have been interesting as its own movie.
