Not that funny
I feel like the critical consensus does this movie harm by billing it as a charming laugh riot. It's really a sad portrait of modern day life where we laugh so that we may not cry.
I liked it to the degree that I liked it, but "The Handmaiden", "Things to Come" and "Les Innocentes" were vastly superior foreign films of 2016 that all got passed over for this awkward dramedy that I found to be okay but kind of a one trick pony.
