WARNING: I'M SEXY!

I liked "Toni Erdmann" but I don't get all the hype.

I think "The Handmaiden", "Things To Come", "Les Innocentes", "Elle" and "Your Name" were all far superior foreign films of 2016.

My husband and I went to see it tonight and we LOVED it. The theater was full too. It was very funny and truly absurd. I know this will be one of those movies we'll watch over and over again. It's unique. I can't think of anything like it. The actors are wonderful in it. It's definitely one of the best films this year.

I have to say its tied with I, Daniel Blake, give a look !

I thought it was terrific ... the laughs don't come quickly or cheaply, but when they do, they are not only funny but they pack an emotional wallop. Sandra Hüller was excellent and so was Peter Simonischek ... people with no attention span would do better with Police Academy XII.
The birthday brunch was a riot.

I just saw it and my verdict is: good but not great.

The movie is about estranged father and daughter getting close again. Father has a weird sense of humor and likes pretending he is other people. The daughter unwillingly plays along. So far, one would mistake it for a family movie.

Wrong... suddenly there's a soft porn scene for absolutely no good reason. Later in the movie when the daughter starts walking around naked, we are supposed to think that she has some kind of nervous breakdown. But because of that soft-porn scene earlier in the movie, we can't - it just looks like more unnecessary nudity. So basically, the soft-porn scene ruined the flow of the movie.

The rest of the movie was really good and the ending was touching.

Thumbs down down down. Movie was awful. All I want to do is thank every dentist on earth for having to deal with peoples ratched teeth.
