Dirk's note on machine ***spoilers!!!*** episode 1.8

Did anyone else read the note he left on the machine in the start of the series, and read it at the end on 1.8? I swear he added a funny bit about it not working, and the he said, solved it. Does that mean he altered the time line? No one else has posted, and I can,t find the clip of the note the first time around.

Not sure. I kept trying to read it and make sense of it, but could not. Sorry.

He said "same way" -as in the same thing happened both times he tried to save Patrick Spring (who we know is Zachariah Webb as well as both Springs). There was a bloody splotch covering a word on the right side that I couldn't make out.
This is exactly what was written on the card:

Sorry
Went Bad
Tried But Same Way
Wrote This Last (this word is covered in blood)

Lol, thanks, U think it was the same note both times we saw it then. He did say solved it, which could imply all made sense now or figured out a new way to fix...but seems likely it was just all made sense.

He said the words "Solved it" in response to the paper that said 3?1! (Three questions being the three machines all being able to do the same thing: Time travel, switch souls, and continuous energy machine). He did solve a way to go around and undo the time circle.

Wrote this last time

No, the timeline isn't altered. The box was always "fixed" before they sent it back in time. The timeline is unalterable. Like 12 Monkeys, you cannot change the past. It's already happened.
