Wow! What a wild season finale!

Why did the FBI Guy (?) shoot the cop's boss and the cop?
Why were Ken and Bart stopped by an army unit complete with tank?
What happened to Dirk?
Who is attacking the Van Guys from the field?

I think the answer to all these questions is that the CIA, or some other related agency, had been using them as part of some project (can't remember the name). The colonel wanted to bring them in, but the powers that be now want to capture them and clean up loose ends, i.e. get rid of anyone who knows anything about it all. So the dumb handsome trigger-happy dude is now in charge.

Does Todd now have his sister's disease? If so, how is that possible?

It runs in the family, so perhaps it's just been latent inside him all these years. Of course, he's cried wolf for so long, his sister probably won't believe him.

I guess things will become clearer in season 2.

Any other thoughts/ideas?

Absolutely fantastic series, you got that right my man! Loved every bit of it!
I am so glad its already renewed for season 2! I wonder when that will air!

Didnt you hear him say they are going to clean up all the body swappers completely. They burned down the machine and building. And cop's boss was either a body swapper or just an inside guy for the men of the machine, but either way, he had a lot of info ( if you remember him sayin he called a lot of people to help, but none of them picked up) so he killed him to get info. Another reason is that he is just way too trigger happy (as it has been established throughout the season, "I have the shot" and then takes the shot and kills one of the men of the machine in upper floor accidentally.) and just killed him instantly without him saying anything, that is how he also killed the cop. Accidentally shot him before even looking because he is too trigger happy. (You see him apologizing because he felt guilty about shooting an innocent person)

I dont think that is FBI, I think its some other private renegade agency, performing some sort of experiment, where the specimens/subjects ran away or something (like Dirk, and Bart and that Rowdy 3's, and probably more that werent introduced yet), and that they are way more dangerous than it appeared in this season. The thing is, we know Rowdy 3's are really tough bunch of guys, so an infantry unit was sent to capture them, and we know for certain that Bart cannot be killed or something like that *(although Farah really hurt her), probably the reason why an army was sent to capture her. Meanwhile only Friedkin went to get Dirk, because it seems like he is the intellectual one and not a brawler, so no need to get backup for him. Basically all 3 parties were attacked by the same agency. (if you remember Friedkin saying to estevez that they will also round up all the psychics - Bart, Dirk and Rowdy 3, for now)

It seems Todd always had the disease, since it runs in the family, it was probably just dormant until now (which is convenient timing for all things bad to happen, why not one more for cliffhanger, lol)
