shareI don't know how you came to this conclusion. The films clearly show patty as a slightly troubled kid, obviously because of his father's ailment. But patty was never portrayed as a outright trouble child. Yes, he does some stupid stuff like any any other teenager but he definitely seemed matured for his age to me.
You could see how courteous he is among elders (example: at this mom's place for one) and how he was handling the conversations with Lee. People seemed to like him and that must be for a reason.
He is your typical jock. He has two girlfriends (and has sex with both), with at least two more pining for him, which leaves fewer girls for regular, non-jocky guys. F him!
