Um, so? Humans have weapons that can kill other humans. Supergirl has the power to kill everyone, yet somehow it's wrong to have a weapon to defend against her? Or even kill her if that's what one chooses? Humans have the right to bear Kryptonite! Get over yourself.....Unless all weapons that can harm everyone should be removed from the planet, there's no reason Kryptonite should. What a moronic stance.

Please don't tell me my comment regarding the right to bear kryptonite led you to connect random, unrelated dots arriving at extreme right wing border security. shareTo be honest in terms of Supergirl, Lena having Kryptonite and Kara accepting it, would be a brilliant way to go.
It would be Kara admitting she has a dark side and trusting someone with the responsibility of actually making that terminal choice of ending her who may not have the same motives as her family. Also it would give Lena an actual point of being there outside 'I'm not Lex, why don't you see I'm not Lex'
It would also give Kara a really legitament reason not to come out as Supergirl to Lena as Kara not wanting to put pressure on Lena with regards to her knowing that she is being trusted with a weapon that only use is to kill her friend. While it would also acknowledge that in the terms of this show Lena is the closest in brains and clarity of thought to Batman who holds the kryptonite to end Superman if required.
