I liked the movie overall and like most ppl on here I didn't like some of the ending. BUT there is one thing that is driving me crazy. She said Conrad killed her dad when he was raping her 10 years ago.... (forgive me if I'm wrong, if I am it'll make my question seem stupid)
Was the basement already like that when they lived there as kids? Seems like it could've been a bomb shelter or panic room converted to whatever you wanna call it now. If her and Conrad got together and designed it themselves then wouldn't that take an ENORMOUS amount of money and work?

I think that basement was AWESOME btw. I would love to have stairs that do that! I also love those prohibition type houses they have with all the hidden walls and passageways. I wanna house like that someday! ☺

Anna makes reference to being very rich, so it would make sense that she and Conrad could have had the basement customized for their, uh, hobby. Or maybe Dad had it built for some pedo stuff he was doing and the kids just re-purposed it.

Well it is inferred that they're quite rich, so I don't see why they wouldn't have the money to do that.
