Dad?

What was her dad? A cop, a Doctor? Why the basement? Why was her room duplicated there? Did dad rape her? He built that basement to do it? Looked like a set where you could monitor the subjects over time. I actually liked this movie, it was entertaining lets say that much. The end was stupid. She leaves the house burns it down and what? No family she burned the money. Would have been better if it ended with another guy delivering food to her. That would have been more appropriate.

Who cares what her dad was. The room was duplicated because the same room upstairs was the room where her dad raped her so she uses the same setup to take revenge. No he didn't build it. She and her brother build it. She burns the house down. That's it. I think its pretty clear from the sirens at the end that she's going to be picked up by the police anyway.

You see a house on fire, hear sirens, and think police? Interesting. I think fire engines myself.

I may be mistaken but I thought the sirens were already there as she was starting the fire.

No you are right. The siren(s) can be heard before she lit the gasoline. My guess was Dan had a phone in his car and called the cops. Even so, that is a pretty quick response to a crazy sounding story.

I would have liked it more if Dan stuck around, helped her clean up the mess, dispose of the bodies, and either join her in her "crusade" to kill off perverts or act like nothing happened (made up a tale of how he smashed his knee); and the three who died just left town.

How did she lure the perverts if she was no longer a child? Maybe all that happened right after dad died which would have made her still attractive to pedophiles? We do not know her age - so ten years ago when dad was killed she could have been 12. Conrad could have actually pretended to be a molester and he lured others to the house... but then the police files on the men... then he got sick and... ugh, forget it. I\the audience should not have to write the damn story for the film makers!

I actually thought the mirror bedroom in the basement was built by the dad to a) hide what he did from his wife and b) film it.

And quite a set of contraptions in the house. Dad? Conrad? Oops, trying to fill in the blank again...

She mentions that their dad was the first person she and her brother killed because he raped her (maybe not exactly in those words but it was implied), and then they decided to continue to kill peados and various sex-offenders in that monitoring room.

Which I think possibly could have been her girls room growing up and her dad (and possibly friends who could have been the peados that were in the freezers) wanking off to her undressing etc in the monitor room.

Once her brother was dead she wasn't sure she could continue the 'family business' but luckily for her a couple of robbers made her realise that she could do it all by her lonesome.
