And the point of the show is......? Seriously WTF LOL....(SPOILERS!!)

That god was talking through his comatose son telling him to murder everyone that raped his wife and drove him to suicide? It doesn't matter that he murdered an innocent man? It doesn't matter that the son's girlfriend doesn't get any justice whatsoever, all she gets is torture....and to top it all off, at the end of the show, the son starts to wake up as if it's some miracle, then he immediately flatlines a few seconds later...like god saying *beep* you to his girlfriend?

Seriously, how can anyone think this was a good show? And of course, they make his therapist an outspoken atheist who cusses at him and belittles him. Boy did he show her! Turns out god is real, except he is an evil psychopath that drives a man to kill an innocent person, who also happens to be the only thing left in the girlfriend's tortured life.....LOL

There was some good acting, but my god, what an awful show full of plot holes. Some moronic religious person wrote it but didn't seem to realize that he portrayed his god as a bloodthirsty tyrant. Kinda contradicts what it says in the bible though.

For those of you who are going to say that it was not god and it must have been his son's vengeful 'soul' or whatever you want to call it communicating with him, giving him all of the clues to find everyone responsible, and since he murdered people it can't be god...the entire show focuses on religion and god, it emphasizes that it is some holy entity all along. There is no other explanation for him having hilariously stupid visions and finding all of the clues to get 'justice'.

No way that there was an atheist or non-theist agenda behind the show, because it doesn't reveal that there is no god and it was in his mind all along (which is true in the real world; religion is *beep* as any non-theist would be sure to give an explanation for. Nope, it's all about religion and god, and doesn't realize how stupid and hypocritical the plot is, and you people eat it up because it's nothing more than a contrived crap that made your eyes moist. Funny thing is that I had to watch towards the end because I needed to see how they were going to pull off the 'MAYBE IT'S GOD, MAYBE IT'S NOT!!!' and somehow have it make sense. That piqued my curiosity the most. Man did they crash and burn there.

Yet you stuck around and watched it all. The only thing wasted around here is...you. Buh-bye.

Did you miss this part of my post?

Funny you couldn't argue with anything I said. Butthurt fans of crappy movies and TV shows somehow always find that the "but you watched the whole thing!" fallacy to discredit a critic. Well, newsflash: everyone is a critic. If you can't handle that I suggest you avoid the internet. This forum is to discuss AND critique the show, not to have a circlejerk and agree with each other (which I'm sure you're used to).

So a good show must explain everything and end with only the good people getting justice? If every show followed your hopes wed be screwed.

Or some moronic viewer watched it and didn't seem to realize that was all deliberate. For Fuchs sake the show is named "hand of god," a direct allusion to the old testament God's capricious and ultimate power.

I really don't think the show is religious or has a religious agenda. People just assume Parnell is not crazy and God is really talking to him but they're wrong.

I love how the atheist poster uses the phrase "but my god." Lol I bet you spend most nights trolling people on the Internet, telling people it isn't right to push their beliefs on you and preach to you, but you get on here and preach your "truth" to people? Call them morons, watch a show you obviously hate? Whether you believe in God or not, it was a very good show, and I'm excited for season two. I think you should evaluate your life and decide if trolling on the Internet really makes your life any better? Oh and I almost forgot. God bless lol ??????????
