Question on very last scenes [HUGE SPOILERS]

In the scene before the last driving sequence Aram tells Anabela that she will never find his son. The door buzzer goes, and she smiles and kills him. Then we see the car driving along and as the POV gradually zooms in we see a bit of green fabric hanging out of the closed trunk. End film.
This surely has to mean that she found the kid and is driving him away to torture and kill him.
The way I read the previous scene is that the mother and child actually come to Perla's apartment and that's them buzzing the door.
But why would they be there? Or I've completely misread things.
Loved the film, really surprised and shocked me, but I'm frustrated over my inability to make sense of these last two scenes.
Would appreciate others' views, please.

Don't worry, I think you've got it spot on pmunday.

At the time, we don't know who's buzzing at the door, but the bit of green costume hanging out of the boot tells us. Chilling.

Yes, agreed, but my question was really how come he would be there at all? ie Why would the kid and his mother have gone to the mistress' flat?

I assume she lured them there on some pretext that we don't get to know. But I'm not sure it matters. If we'd known who was at the door, and why, it would have lessened the impact of the final scene.
