Can someone tell me why The Dad was all trying to show off his daughter ,Caitlin, to a "Paul" ( who is apparently AJ's friends brother) that was RANDOM? I mean they made a whole scene about the Dad plucking his "daughter" away from a bonding a session with his wife that was way overdue to escort her over to Paul of all people as if it was his old long lost friend or brother. it sure looked like a "hey Paul, here is my daughter Caitlin, you two would hit it off" kind of vibe didnt it? because he walked caitlin over to Paul SPECIFICALLY, and introduced them and then walked away like "I'll let you two get to know one another".... what did he expect was going to happen? Why didnt the Dad introduce his daughter to the WHOLE GROUP if he didnt want it to seem like he was singling out Paul for him to "get to know" his daughter. and then gets mad he is flirting with her. What a freak the dad is. I didnt understand that why Paul was a big character in all this?

Did I miss something?

I thought that was weird too, but I figured it was kind of a way to throw people off of their relationship. With her showing interest in a guy at the party, it would completely throw off any suspicions about him and her. Make it look kind of normal.

I didn't get it either. Caitlin did say to the Dad that she thought he was just trying to show her off. It still doesn't make much sense.
