The Cats VS Dogs episode is my favorite

My two favorite shows on ID are Fear Thy Neighbor and Web of Lies.

The most recent episode of Fear Thy Neighbor is, by far, my favorite episode yet. I have cats too and I felt so bad for the victim while watching this, but at the same time I feel she could have prevented it.

I keep all my cats INDOORS. If let outside, they could be hit by cars, tortured for fun, picked up by animal control, etc etc. If I knew there were malicious dogs and unfriendly people living beside me, I definitely would not let them outside. I feel like the whole feud started because of the cats. If they had been kept inside, it may not have happened.

And the perpetrators, don't let your vicious dogs run wild in the early hours of the morning. I can't believe they spent basically no time in jail. I don't know the actual story, but these dogs were implied to be extremely mean and vicious. It's clear they allowed the dogs out that early so they would attack Klonda and her cats. And realistically, the dogs were probably abused, giving the way they acted. (One time a friends pitbull ran at me, and I was scared, but it started licking me and showing affection.) If a dog is raised to be mean, it's gonna be mean.

I said this in another thread... Totally agree on all counts. It also didn't help she made comments about the kids and made calls on him. It only made the situation worse. Should've kept the Cats in and ignored the Douche. The Dogs while vicious were made that way and just pawns. In a way I felt bad for the Dogs too.

I have a Feral Kitten and there is no freaking way I'd let him be outdoors. I volunteer at a Cat and Dog shelter. I spend time with the Cats. I like most animals tho. The ending of the episide was heartbreaking.

Agreed. While we were watching it we even said she need to keep all her cats indoors if possible because you could just see what would happen. Friggin coward, had to set his dogs on her wasn't man enough to do it himself. And you know he heard the dogs and her screams as did the other neighbors. And the other neighbor on the show, the black lady, pissed us both off, as she seemed to sort of stick up for him in a way. My cat is strictly indoors. I swear last time he got out a neighbor had him...as I posted signs everywhere and finally I out one on a telephone poll that is literally in their front yard...and a day or two later my Gf woke me and told me he was back (I was leaving the back door cracked at night) and sure enough there he was. Reason I say this is also they lost an orange tabby that looked very similar and they left notes on everyone's door. But that was at least a year or two ago. People have no problem claiming pets as their own even with a tag. Anyways back to the story, why in the hell was he allowed to ride his ATV on the streets like that? People only rarely do that here in the semi-remote neighborhoods. Nobody called on him? He acted like it was a car. And when I move in a new neighborhood I look at it like I'm the new person, give the "elders" respect...they were there first. I hate when A-Hikes like him move in and just act like it's now their hood. Oh we really hated that neighbor, the black lady....did u notice it was like she made excuses for his behavior?

I used to live in Northeast Ohio. I live in the South now. I see a lot of people driving Mopeds on highways but that's another discussion. :D It was odd seeing him drive a freaking ATV lIke that. I loved when he complained about not being able to use her driveway to get it in his Yard and she said "It's not my problem now!" Who knows if it went down like that tho.I.D. tends to add or exaggerate. The neighbor claimed she started the feud. Bolonge! She had been there 20 years! Shame on her other neighbors for not calling for help.

People said she should've just moved. But moving is a very long process. It's not like she could do it overnight. What a sweet woman. She loved those Cats and just wanted to live out her years living her life and helping animals. It Pisses me off the two *beep* who murdered her pretty much got off. Let's hope karma exists.

The show said the new neighbor's bought that house but we questioned that...I'm thinking renters. Too bad they didn't get evicted or foreclosed on before this happened...I'm sure it would have sooner or later.

While I do agree that Klonda exacerbated the issue, there is no excusing the behavior of the couple next door.

She should have kept her cats in. She should've NEVER called CPS, especially since the kids were just playing on a neighborhood street. There was no mention that she had called after the little girl's accident. In fact, CPS investigates any injury sustained by a child while in his/her parent's care. (My son was climbing over the back of a chair, fell and hit his head when he was three. Took him to the ER with a HUGE goose egg on his forehead, and my husband and I were questioned about abuse.) I'm sure they thought Klonda was behind that, and their subsequently losing custody of all the kids while under investigation, when it was probably due to their own negligence. Anyway, she should never have called in the first place.

But as for the privacy fence...I don't understand why one neighbor gets so upset when the other decides to put up one. You'd think they'd find some sense of relief at not having to deal with each other constantly. Fences always seem to make matters worse on this show. It's like they feel they're entitled to the neighbor's property. I'd have never agreed to let him drive an ATV through my backyard to park it in his. PERIOD. (Isn't it illegal to drive them on city streets?)

As for the dogs, what if they had attacked a young mother strolling her baby, trying to get it back to sleep? Or an innocent person walking to their early morning job or out exercising? The neighbors in this episode really ticked me off. How can you lay there in your beds, listening to a woman being killed for TWENTY MINUTES and not at least call the police????

When it was all over, I just kept thinking, "You had a 2nd house down the street for the rest of your cats. Why didn't you just move into that one, and at least be out of these people's line of sight?" Such a sad situation. Especially since the perpetrators got off scot free.
