You Tube Story

I found a video on YouTube featuring "Neighbor From Hell" stories. The first story sounds like it's going to wind up on this show in a couple more seasons.

Neighbor in question initially seemed to OP like a guy who was just over-obsessed with his yard maintenance, to the point of yelling at his landscapers.

First hint of craziness came last summer when he asked a teen-aged neighbor to keep an eye on the house during his vacation. Initially it was just do some watering and make sure everything is locked up. However when he leaves, kid is left with a list of things to do, including going by several times a day to turn off and on certain lights. He also wasn't supposed to actually enter the house to do this, just stand in the door and use a long pole with a loop. He was told not to walk on the grass and to remove his "dirty shoes" before walking on the sidewalk. And he wasn't allowed to use the garden hose to water the lawn, he was supposed to use a watering can. Seriously? Neighbor also claimed in the note he had the place under surveillance and would know if kid was obeying rules or not. Kid's parents call nutty neighbor on vacation and informs him they will keep an eye on the house, but the kid will not be doing the list. When neighbor arrives back early in the morning, he heads to parent's house, bangs on door and wakes them up, and throws a fit. Another neighbor, a retired colonel hears the yelling and tries to get him to calm down. Nutty neighbor demands to be allowed to "bare-assed spank" the kid for not doing the list and has another fit when the parents say no way and order him to leave.

The entire neighborhood finds pamphlets for landscaping company crazy neighbor uses in their mailbox, along with a note telling them they are now required to use this company and will face a lawsuit for not complying? Complying with who? The neighbors are all homeowners, not renters and there is no Home Owners Association in this area.

Neighborhood notices crazy neighbor's wife, who used to be quite a social butterfly, seems to be seen less and less. Crazy neighbor makes comment to other neighbor about how wives shouldn't be allowed to have friends. Wife is seen last winter sporting a black eye and a sling on her arm. When somebody asks her what happened, her husband interrupts and says she slipped on ice. Attempts to talk to wife are constantly thwarted by husband. The police are contacted and do some welfare checks when he's not home, but nothing comes of it. If he is abusing her, she's not admitting to it, so the cops can do nothing.

Crazy guy gets mad during some heavy snowfalls because the snowplows are piling snow on his property. So he retaliates by spreading screws all over the street in front of his house.

One of the families gets a new puppy. According to OP, puppy is quiet and is kept in the fenced-in back yard. Puppy parents are awoken in the middle of the night by doorbell. Crazy neighbor is standing in street in front of their property. He tells them "If that dog gets out of your yard, you won't have a dog anymore!" while waving a gun around. He points gun toward back yard and says, "BANG!" When questioned by the police, he claims he thought they were awake when he rang the doorbell and said he didn't intend what he said as a threat. He admits having the gun tucked in his belt, but denies waving it around or aiming it. RIGHT! They give him a citation.

Since spring he's been sitting out front, writing something down everytime somebody walks or drives by his place. OP says he's altered his driving pattern in the neighborhood to avoid driving by crazy guy's house.

Other neighbor puts a swing set up in their backyard. Arrives home from work to find tire tracks all over the yard and swing set run over and smashed to pieces. No witnesses to prove it was crazy guy, but the tire tracks do match his big truck.

Retired colonel has taken on the task of documenting all the crazy neighbor incidents, anticipating the day it's gonna explode.

Unfortunately, there was no info on where this is, so no way to know if or when the situation does blow. If it hasn't already....
