What I did and didn't like about this TMNT pt.2

I did this thread for the 2014 movie as well. Things I did and didn't like about the movie.

Did like:

+ Krang's design. I was hesitant when it was announced in this movie, and I wasn't a fan of Shredder's design so I was nervous but they pulled it off ok here.

+ Shots and scenes of the NYPD vs. The Foot Clan were pretty cool

+ I enjoyed Splinter in the first, and I enjoyed him again in this one

+ The comic art style of the end credits is great as is the cover song of the '87 series.

+ Turtle personalities are even better and a bit more fleshed out in this movie.

Did NOT like:

- Casey Jones foul mouth. I get he's supposed to be the edgy, nonsense vigilante but the movie overall presents itself as light but he curses quite a bit. Taunting and name calling is more his speed like the 90' Casey.

- Klepto April - did she really need to steal those clothes in the beginning?

- Turtles came off as really clumsy - It seemed like they were going for the silly, whoopsie but problem turns out ok style of the 87' cartoon but they just seemed really clumsy in nearly every action scene.

- Move trope: Incompetent law enforcement - why the hell are they blaming Casey Jones?

-Maskless Shredder - he's better with it on

- Only 1 TCRI security guard? Odd for something so important, in a city with a Terrorist group and creatures running around.

-How'd Bebop and Rocksteady get back to NYC so quickly?

-Didn't like Shredder/Karai's representation in this movie. Not in part 1 either.

- No closure for Bebop and Rocksteady. Casey beat them and that was the last of them on screen.


Some of it may be nitpicking but I did enjoy this movie over the 2014 movie.
