Was this movie...
Was this movie based on a true story?
shareYeah. I did some fact checking and everything in the movie was true except for the manhole covers that were shot out of the front of the truck. In reality, they fired hot pizzas. Sounds pretty tame, right? Wrong. The only topping on those pizzas: Anchovies.
shareThanks, I was wondering, because I remember hearing something about it in history class. It's crazy what they can do these days with science. It's all theory though, and in God's hands.
shareAs a history buff, I was disappointed that this otherwise excellent film left out the rich and interesting backstory of Commander Krang and Dimension X. Otherwise this is an excellent and accurate portrayal of the historic characters and the events that played out.

I am not a history buff, but I could tell that his rise to power has to be one of the more interesting stories. I am surprised it wasn't covered in my history classes. Mostly we learn about Noah, and Job, and John the Baptist. My mom is a really good teacher, but she may not have heard this story.
shareshe probably hasn't, but that's not her fault. The "powers that be" want you to know a certain version of history, or even try to wipe certain events and facts from the history books. You cannot depend on any school system to teach you. I could go further into the political reasons for trying to wipe Krang and Dimension X out of official history, but I fear the consequences. Just let me put it this way: The government wants you to think that they are like the Ninja Turtles, but infact they are really more like Vern "The Falcon" Fenwick.

Oh jeez, that is scary. I don't think it pertains to me though. I am home schooled, and I don't think my mommy is controlled by the government. My history text book was written by King James. I asked my teacher if this this story is like the dinosaurs, and she said "You know we don't talk about things that aren't really covered in the text book".
