They didn't interview any of the black people from New York Night Live. It all goes back to that "incident" which after reading about it didn't seem like that big of a deal to me.

shareIt's like he made up a thing and then said the thing wasn't a big deal so he didn't know why they were mad at the thing.
This happens a lot on IMDB. People act like they have insider information on things they couldn't possibly know.

Maybe he was busy (?) They could've also interviewed others who worked with him too - Christopher Guest, Norm McDonald, Penelope Spheeris, Peter Segal (director of Tommy Boy), they might've only had so much space for people (actually a flaw of the movie for me was they could've explored more).
