A bit tired of...
all the fake drama that writers put into movies like this.
Starting from the parents freaking out they were out humping in the train yard till the morning... after 18 years they finally have the house all to themselves, come on.
I mean they were super cute, why can't the character development simply be from A to B, each making the other's life better? Instead we got an A to B only to go back to A, basically.
Often the romance movies are either pink bubblegum-y stupid comedies OR dramas (where people keep freaking dying) with hardly anything in-between. Nicholas Sparks does it well tho, with his bittersweet style. But stories like this and stuff like 13 reasons why just end up being overall letdowns. Giving too much significance to how you are viewed in high school or your shitty upbringing, while after, say, the age of 30 they are revealed to be inconsequential, especially now that you scored a Fanning girl and learned to find happiness and meaning in small things. Yet you throw it away, you dumb boi?
