Her sociopathic self-absorption is getting really old. Also, the whole "Gee, I wonder what Abigail is up to now?" plot was boring the first time, let alone repeatedly over the course of a season.
Yes, but she basically gets the same results that Cassie would have. She's just more abrasive about it! I find myself disliking her until her ultimate goal (basically good for all concerned but she comes off even better!) is revealed. Cassie doesn't use her powers for self-interest and Abigail does.

Yeah I agree jabell; Abigail has her own way of making things happen w/positive results, and sometimes she using them to her "own" advantage but she doesn't hurt anybody when she does. She usually comes thru just in time to make things happen the way they are suppose to be. She is definitely more abrasive and I wish that Cassie was more like that sometimes, and I wish Cassie would show she does have some kind of power and use it more often. I'm not saying for her to pull out her "witchy pot" and say spells, I just want the show to more emphasis on "witch", but good of course is fine, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love Cassie and I really like Abigail; I also want Grace to show more of her "intuitions" like they use to do, and they played that ominous music whenever Grace did have them. A lot of things I would love to change on the show, but I won't say b/c I want to keep it on air and not be negative. But I agree w/your post a lot. I love your signature at the bottom of your post by the way. I was a HUGE Angel and Buffy fan - miss those shows so much!!!
My problem with Abigail is that she's predictable and one-dimensional. She is invariably out for herself and invariably manipulating people to get things the way she wants. She never varies, even when her shtick categorically doesn't work (such as when she first started up the shop, or hit on that guy who thought she was a jerk). She simply doesn't learn. I find static characters that don't change and grow boring.
Everybody else, even Nick, has a learning curve on this show. I get the value of having a "soft" antagonist with similar powers to Cassie's, but they need to change some things up with Abigail or replace her with someone more interesting.
Disagree. Abigail is a trip, and her facial expressions are hilarious. She doesn't even have to try. She's just funny. I love that she's not a saint, and isn't good at hiding her self interest.
I think Abigail adds something to the show too. I like the way she interacts with the other characters. About the time you think she is up to no good she does something nice like helping Stephanie when Stephanie fell and hurt her back during the snow storm.
I don't necessarily want her to "go." I'd much rather see her get her comeuppance. I don't want anything violent to happen, but I wouldn't mind seeing the bottom fall out of her world to the point where she would have to beg (preferably on her knees) for help and forgiveness.
Abigail is one of the more interesting characters on the show--get rid of the cop's wife--enough of the drama of "should we have a baby" very dull and doesn't fit it with the other stories
Abigail is also a "good witch", but with a different approach. Cassie is all kindness and compassion for others, while Abigail is mischievous and to some degree self-interested, but she means no harm and ends up leading people to the right place in the end. The contrast between her and Cassie balances things somewhat and is entertaining.
