Wasn't there suppose to be a scene with Nathan Fillion's Simon Williams?

Nathan Fillion was cast as Wonder Man/Simon Williams, in a scene that would have showed him featured in movies based on Marvel heroes... Where was this scene (where would have it originally appeared) and why was it cut?

I noticed his absence as well. Google still has him listed on the cast. I refuse to check IMDb's list. Hopefully someone knows.
