Why would he? He only cares about himself and expanding himself throughout the universe. He told Starlord that caring about others is "too human," and they are both Gods. So, Ego does not care one way or another.

Maybe. We have yet to see what the MCU version of Thanos can do.

Of course. Squirrel Girl defeated Thanos so Ego could have easily killed him. Thanos is a bitch.

Well, he was able to go toe to toe with Galactus... so yes, I bet he could kill Thanos.
