Hahahaha!!!
Wow I haven't laughed that hard in awhile!
shareAbsolutely hilarious. I don't follow tennis any more but I used to, and this was an excellent parody.
I wonder if some of the eccentricities were inspired by Goran Ivanisevic ( https://youtu.be/ySiQC6WQQSs?t=78 ). He was doing crazy things like this all the time. He was a great but also very entertaining player.
A lot of the parodies also reminded me of Wimbledon 2001, where Ivanisevic went on tantrums in the final match. The match was and still is considered legendary because of the backstories from both players, for one thing. At the time, that was one of the most intense finals of Wimbledon; it didn't go on for days but the intensity came from the atmosphere and players making a lot of mistakes because of emotions (with Rafter being a lot more calm about it, and Goran was being Goran ;p). Much like Aaron and Charles.
And the semi-final Ivanisevic vs. Henman (British) who would have been the first Brit to win Wimbledon in like 70 years (big deal, for Wimbledon). That one took 3 days because of rain delays, and it caused a few shifts in power on the court. Ivanisevic was pretty much saved by the first rain. Not to mention Ivanisevic was a wild-card that year, having received an invitation at the time when his career was going down hill and his serving shoulder was going to hell (Much like Aaron). Also, worst ranked player to ever win Wimbledon, I think his ranking was close to Aaron's in the film.
Just when I thought the "documentary" was over, Charles' OVER the top breakdown starting with that cup of water, had me in stiches :)
"YEAH I KNOW IS'S DEUCE, WE ALL KNOW IT'S DEUCE!" lol...
The owls are not what they seem.
