purty good, their best film so far perhaps
Haven't seen The Recovered or Revenge of the Eggplant, but this was better than Feeding Frenzy and Gorilla Interrupted, both which I enjoyed. kudos rlm

shareI enjoyed it but I went in expecting it to not be very good. I love their shows and reviews so I buy their movies to support them, not because I actually think the movies are "good".
SC's biggest flaw is the same flaw their other movies had: they can't act. Evans for whatever reason is OK on camera, he can't exactly act but his comedic "charisma" (for lack of a better word) goes a long way when he's on screen. He's not great but he's not painful to watch,
Mike can't act to save his life though and he really drags their movies down IMO.
So for me, when I watch their movies, I just watch them in the same kind of context as the homemade/amateur movies me and my friends made. I don't judge them like I would a real movie. 25 bucks was pretty steep for SC IMO, but they have given me hours and hours of entertainment that I genuinely enjoyed with their web shows and reviews etc, so I ponyed up the $25 for SC and would do it again.
So basically SC wasn't very good IMO but I respect them for doing it and I love their nonfilm works so I buy their stuff.
I do get tired of hearing them say "it's supposed to be schlock" though. That's a catch all excuse and given that they have ripped many a movie a new one and "explained" (lectured) exactly what was wrong with other micro budget movies (like when they were reviewing Skull Forest) in a snarky way saying "it's supposed to suck" as a defens of their own movies is a pretty hypocritical thing to do IMO.
Not trying to sound too negative about them because I completely understand how hard making a film is, but it would be interesting to see them try to make a real, non-built in excuse movie for once.
I get that there aren't many actors in their neck of the woods and they don't have much money but I'm sure they could crowd fund a decent budget and cast and shoot a film in LA or NY, or somewhere where actors aren't hard to find. The AVGN did it, and while his movie was awful, he was a lot more ambitious than the RLM guys and I can certainly respect him for trying.

^^ This. SC to me does not really feel like a movie. It's like a sketch, a bad parody of itself.
I hate to say it...but I didn't like Space Cop. It has some great moments here and there, but I just found myself waiting for it to end. It was hard to sit through.
I'd have to say the biggest flaw in the film was Mike. His character was just obnoxious. I like the premise of a cop from the past teaming up with one from the future in a zany film like this, but Mike's "acting" ruined the move IMO. Rich Evans was good. Jay was pretty good. And the "real" actors all did a fine job. The music is good. And there's some very slick production to be found too. So obviously the RLM guys are learning and getting better all the time. (And the CGI from those Canadian blokes is fantastic!)
I guess if I chose one word to describe the film it's uneven. You've got those moments of very polished production (like some great photography from the RLM guys or the aforementioned Canadian CGI, and then the next moment you have the homemade sets and RLM-level acting. I think Space Cop would've been best served if they chose one value for the entire movie. Either try and make it a genuine albeit low budget sci-fi film or just shovel out some home-made cheese.
Oh well; in the end I hope the RLM guys enjoyed making it and I hope the fans will enjoy it. Now, hopefully we'll get another Plinkett review soon!

you are a mongoloid, an autist who puts way too much thought into this drivel than any healthy person should dude.
You honestly think the producers of death wish 3 set out to tell a story?
This must be some bad attempt at memeing
*beep* off with the negativity, no one cares that you're a bitter long-time fan. Just stop watching if you think they've "peaked", no need for a seven paragraph rant attacking fans of a thing you used to enjoy

This pretty much fits my reaction. The production and acting were fine. Overall the movie works for its schlock sci-fi goal.
The only let down imo is the writing in the middle. That part of the movie was mostly about moving the plot along but by doing that the comedy took a back seat and things dragged.
(Well they are known as 'hack frauds' after all.)
But as you said, the beginning and the end were a lot of fun.
I enjoyed it.
BB ;-)
it is just in my opinion - imo - 🌈
