It's not cancelled, they just haven't confirmed a season 2 yet.
shareIf you look at another thread asking about S2, there's apparently an expectation that it will be renewed for a longer season.
6 eps is just AMC's typical "first season" for post-apocalyptic shows... I guess so they can see if the production expense (probably higher for something like this) is justified by the interest/audience it gets.
I just heard of this from Honest Trailers "Walking Dead" bit. Is this at all like Walking Dead cuz if so, i won't check it out. Not tryna hate but TWD just isn't for me.

It's not at all like TWD. In many ways, it's better because it is so different from anything on TV. I highly recommend it!! For starters, it's not about zombies. It's basically about a new world that's divided into territories run by Barons. There are no guns in this new world. It's got some of the fiercest fighting sequences I've ever seen. It's also visually stunning, with high production values. Most people start watching out of curiosity, and are hooked by the human drama and the martial arts. It's an extremely well-written story, with memorable characters. I'll be extremely disappointed if it's not renewed...

Renewal is expected. AMC always has shorter premier seasons with expanded following seasons. TWD and Hell on Wheels were both like that.
