Do they have to keep slinging the made up diversity nonsense? The movie is clearly set in a time of segregation, yet here we go with the black and white kids playing as one. Sorry but it would be nice if they could stop this type of BS casting just once and cast a movie for how it would have been in reality instead of the liberal perfect harmony BS.

shareWell my best guess is they know this is segregation, and maybe that's a side plot of the movie? We weren't given much in the movie on what was changed in the movie, so we may have to wait and see what Burton decided to do. Also you talk about reality, but I think when a movie has an elephant flying, reality isn't really much of an issue at this point

Go look at history ya ignorant fool. IF the Civil War really about slavery then why didn't Lincoln free all the slaves instead of just claim that the slaves in confederate states were free. A prime example was Missouri, slavery was legal there until January of 1965 which was 2 years after Lincoln's emancipation proclamation... but because Missouri wasn't one of the confederate state Lincoln didn't free the slaves in that state which is a pretty damn clear indication that slavery wasn't the real reason for the Civil War. Maybe you should trying using an actual history book instead of wikipedia as clearly your source is fucking wrong. The only role slavery had in the Civil War was in propaganda in the North to get people on board for a war that they really had no desire to be in.

I just call it like I see it and when you cram a black into a roll just to do it then it is flat out wrong. How does it help blacks in America if everytime a black actor turns up in a show he isn't there because it makes sense but only because it fills a quota? It does nothing positive for anyone beside the black actor that got a paycheck, it actually does more harm to blacks in general. So go sell you BS somewhere else.
