If Michael Dougherty does make an Easter horror movie?

Should it be in the same vein as this horror comic? http://www.besthorrorcomics.com/pdf/Hopping_Down.pdf

I thought this comic story was pretty freaky, and it would be cool to see a film adaption like it.

Why is Ted Cruz pictured as the narrator?

I couldn't believe when I read his filmography that he played a toilet (no joke) in According to Jim

I guess that was Ted Cruz's job back then. The Crypt Keeper was busy so they got the next creepy guy to narrate horror stories.

Hahahaha that DOES look like Ted Cruz!

I doubt he will do an Easter movie. Easter rabbits and celebrations don't have a rich dark history like Halloween and parts of Christmas like Krampus do. It wouldnt really be in his style to make up a horror story and force it to fit in an Easter theme.

I would love to see what he could come up with for a Easter movie, but I also don't want him to do that and end up pigeonholing himself as the director who makes spooky holiday movies.

He could very well make an Easter horror movie. Some suggestion was even made when uncle Howard ridiculed Omi's story.

That is my opinion, it is mine and belongs to me, and I own it and what it is, too.

I agree. Dougherty is not a Troma producer who will turn any random object into a depraved monster, he's inspired by dark lore and histories. So Easter is an unlikely subject for one of his films. Maaaaaybe you could get into some pagan stuff with Eostre but it would be a pretty big stretch, and he I doubt he'll be stooping to that unless he does a bunch of Trick 'r Treat & Krampus sequels, and a bunch of other holidays, and they're all successful enough for him to scrape the bottom of the barrel and get to Easter.
