The Calvin And Hobbes Factor

Did anyone else notice the Calvin and Hobbes elements?

Early on, it's mentioned the family is estranged from a neighbor over "the noodle incident," something the dad asks about, but it's never explained to him. During the course of the Calvin And Hobbes comic strips, several references are made to "the noodle incident" but that is never explained either.

In Krampus the first scary-looking snowman is revealed. Then more and more show up, and they seem to move around. Calvin regularly makes "Monster Snow Goons" (the title of one of the C&H compilation books is "Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons") and the ones in this movie look right out of the pages of Calvin And Hobbes.

Were there any more that I missed?
