sequel?
box office or the Krampus this was good and it's doing well in rentals will there be a sequel? I really like the movie I'd like to see them explore a little more on the Krampus

shareHere's hoping for a Krampus 2 and a sequel for Trick R Treat!
shareI think it depends more on whether or not the director would want to do a sequel.
shareI don't know if he'll want to honestly. He'd have to give away the ending if he made another.
As much as I'd love a sequel, not sure it's going to happen.
-Who is it?
-It's Grandpa. And it sounds like he's gotten into the horseradish again.
How would it give away the ending (which was the worst part of a good movie IMO)? The story is over for this family, so we'd have a new family and story.
Unless on the off chance they wanted to show the first movies family trying to escape from hell, but that's highly doubtful (but would make for some good visuals).
There are maybe five beings I hope I never have to fight and J'onn Jonzz is one of them. - Superman
the sequel to trick r Treat is taking almost a decade to make...
Expect to see Krampus 2 in 2026
IF he makes a sequel... he'd HAVE to keep the tone of the first while NOT making fun of it in any way. It would have to still be somewhat a Christmas scare fest with some more excellent practical effects and maybe a few more added toys. I'd also expect to have at least 2 ongoing story lines going on at the same time also, fleshing out the story and length. Maybe even bring back the Walmart building joke from the beginning. It was used on the trade paperback comic...
3rd generation American from a long line of Gottscheers... it was Drandul, dude!
a prequel in old times would be cool (before phones or technology )
shareYa know... I've been urging a sequel with the next generation of Engels.... BUT I like that idea too! Maybe go back a century or so... have it in London, or even the depths of Austria itself (prior to WW I)... so what if they spoke English, just FILMING in Slovenia in the Highlands (cough cough see my sig - Travni Dol is a small village in a fairly deep valley with lush greenery all around - only been under a dozen houses there since... well nearly 100 years...), or simply a big city around Austria... with a castle nearby (for background eye candy or plot wise, would be wonderful! Filming IN Slovenia might be tricky though... but beautiful. I mean imagine Krampus hiding IN a Krampus parade on purpose, and then attacking a few people before running off (or away). Good ideas.

I think he will have better luck getting things out now. Trick R' Treat was stuck in limbo for a long time, but hes gotten a lot of good recognition recently from that movie becoming more popular and Krampus coming out.
sharewhy is trick r treat 2 in limbo right now ? the studio announced it some years ago... i think they are all waiting on the director to want to make it
