…we're gonna have to wait a few years till people let it into their heart as a cult classic.
Look, it's not Gremlins-strong, but all the elements are present and correct - the small town setting, the unlikeable victims, the cynical humour, and best of all, that quintessential 80s knife edge thing between a kids film and an adult film that earns a slightly too harsh 15 certificate and you just don't see much of anymore.
So yeah, I liked it way more than what's reflected in the IMDb rating. But give it like 5 years.
